Software Development
Automation of Account ReceivablesSales orders were approved and invoices created in our inhouse system, and payments made had to be posted back into the system. We integrated our accounting system with our inhouse system to post invoices created into the accounting system and payments posted in the accounting system was imported into our system. We had Quickbooks and then upgraded to MAS 200. The automation was done on both systems.
Weekly Payment of Sales Commission based on the Draw System
We had 20+ sales associates that were paid commission weekly. They were 100% commission and he had a draw system that had different levels of draw based on their weekly draw balance. The commission was automatically calculated each week with reports printed and emailed to the associate for approval.
Faith Sunday School Outreach
The Southern Baptist Association developed a visitation program for churches that gave them the structure needed to increase their weekly visitations and increase church membership. Each team had three members. You could have as many as 30 or 40 teams going out each week. There was a lot of paper work and there was not software written to maintain and process all this data. I wrote an application in Visual FoxPro that kept track of all the visits, scheduled the visits, and provided a report of results of the visits that would be reported back to the Southern Baptist Association on a monthly basis. I sold this program to over 40 churches in 8 different states. I have converted the system over to .Net 2.0 framework at this time.
Quote System for Building Supply Company
The company had 18 sales associates and each associate was writing their quotes on paper forms. There are eight main categories of products with many different combinations of products. The system provides tabbed pages for each category. A lot of work was being duplicated because different associates were writing bids on the same jobs for different companies. I was able to create a system using Visual Studio (VB), SQL Server and Crystal Reports. The system checked eliminated duplicates, allowed multiply companies to be included on the one project so that each bid submitted was the same and allows addendums and amendments to be added to the base bid. The printed Quote form was created with Crystal Reports. This report has a separate page for each tab or category of products and allows the Quote to be emailed directly to the client as a PDF.
